I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD EVER COME BACK..

“I WAS BEATEN BLACK AND BLUE, AND LEFT TO STARVE FOR DAYS …” Jacintha, a woman from Mangalore, Karnataka, was a nurse who had three children at home to care of. She was offered a better nursing job in one of the gulf countries called Qatar, by a local agent. A job offer for 25,000 was hard to decline and accepted the same. A THURSDAY

“meri beti ke rapists mile kya?”     A THURSDAY is an Indian based Hindi movie, it’s a thriller movie where naina, a playschool teacher, takes 16 students hostage. But still, I feel the courts find it hard to make rational decisions when it comes to the value of a person. Compensation is a way to pay for the damages or injury but when it comes to the life of a person, how can u measure its value? How can a court decide the cost of a person who got grievously injured and lost his/her life? Is it moral to compensate for death with money? Can money ...
